Kahwa is a traditional preparation of green tea widely consumed in Afghanistan, Iran and some parts of Central Asia. In India, this tea is very famous in the Kashmir valley but it is made slightly differently by boiling green tea leaves with cinnamon, cloves, rose petals, cardamom and saffron. What is it made of?


Inspired from the true flavours of the authentic Kahwa, our Teawery Rich Kashmiri Kahwa is made by infusing Darjeeling green tea with Tassyam spices like Ceylon cinnamon, green cardamom and cloves, saffron and hand-picked rose petals. Each ingredient has its own unique flavour, aroma and benefits.


Ceylon Cinnamon is the true cinnamon and has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. One teaspoon of cinnamon contains 0.1g protein, 0.8g carbohydrate, 1.4g fiber and 26mg calcium making it a highly nutritious spice. It is also a rich source of anti-oxidants and its probiotic properties are known for good gut health. Other than that this sweet spice is also good for controlling blood sugar levels.

Cloves are rich in anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals and are traditionally known to strengthen the immune system, reduce inflammation and aid in digestion.

Usage Instructions

To make the most of the Kashmiri Kahwa experience, take 1-2g of tea and add hot water (ideally at 90-95C) and let steep for 5 minutes. 2g of tea will make 2 to 3 cups.
