If you are still unaware about all the benefits that quinoa has to provide, then check out this blog. Adding quinoa to your diet is fairly simple, you can start with the basic recipes and replace the main ingredient with fiber-rich quinoa. Our personal favourite is this Quinoa Poha recipe which we really want you to try. It is super easy, quick, takes just the most basic ingredients in your kitchen to be ready and makes for a perfect morning breakfast or evening snack. Ingredients Tassyam Organics Quinoa- 3/4th medium sized bowl Onion (finely chopped) Green chillies (finely chopped) Capsicum (finely chopped)

Salt- to taste Red Chilli Powder- to taste Turmeric Powder- 1tsp Oil- 1 to 2 tbsp

Garlic cloves- 2 to 3 Mustard seeds- 1tsp Curry leaves- 5 to 6 leaves

Water- double the quantity of the quinoa used (measure from the same bowl) Method

1. Wash quinoa nicely with clean water and allow to soak in a bowl of water for some time. In the mean time, take a pan and heat some oil. Once the oil is hot enough, add in the mustard seeds and curry leaves. When the mustard seeds start popping, add the garlic, green chillies and onions and sauté well. 2. Once the onions start to turn pinkish in colour, add the capsicum. You can add any vegetable of your choice- tomatoes, beans, carrots, bell peppers and so on. Saute the capsicum for some time, then add turmeric powder and red chilli powder and mix.

3. Strain the soaked quinoa and add it to the pan. Add the required quantity of water. Using exactly the double amount of water is the key to making perfect quinoa. A little less and your quinoa won't cook, a little more and it will turn mushy.

4. Mix everything well and bring to a boil on high flame. After a good boil, lower the flame, cover with a lid and let cook for 10-15 minutes. Check after the 10 minute mark, if there is still some water left, cover and cook for another 5 minutes. The sign you are looking for is that the water has almost evaporated and quinoa has puffed up a little.

5. Once cooked, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
