Healthy Diwali Recipes to Try

1. Kaju Katli

Kaju katli is everybody’s favourite sweet that is never missed in a Diwali celebration. Well, here is a healthy version of this wholesome sweet made with honey instead of sugar

Ingredients:

  • Cashew Nuts – 2 Cups

  • Honey – 1 Cup

  • Water

Instructions:

  1. Dry roast the cashews in a pan for about five minutes without burning them. Once you see a slight change in colour, turn off heat and set aside.

  2. Let the roasted cashews cool and then grind them to a coarse powder.

  3. Heat a non-stick pan, add water and honey. Heat it till it bubbles up.

  4. Add the cashew powder and stir continuously with a spatula. Keep stirring until it thickens up and starts to leave the sides of the pan.

  5. Line parchment paper in a large tray and then dump the cashew mixture and flatten it.

  6. Refrigerate for an hour. Take it out and place silver foil,

  7. Cut in diamond shapes and your healthy treat is ready to serve
